Why pray for Israel?
God asks of us to partner with Him.
ISAIAH 62 is a unique passage in the scriptures because it calls upon the people of God to give Him no rest until He establishes Jerusalem as “a praise in the earth” (Isaiah 62:6-7).
Like Watchman on the walls of Jerusalem the people of God are to stand watch on behalf of Israel. This essentially means embracing regular prayer and intercession for Israel, for blessing, for protection against those that seek to harm her and for her redemption.
This call to prayer also means praying for the Arab nations in the region that they too would be blessed and delivered from the chaos that presently besets the region.
What is ISAIAH 62?
ISAIAH 62 is global prayer movement.
It was founded in 2012 by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem with the purpose to encourage prayer for Israel.
Meanwhile 131 countries pray the ISAIAH 62 Prayer on the first Wednesday of each month.

Monthly Prayer Letter for June 2026
“Then all the people answered together and said, ‘All that the Lord has spoken we will do.’ So Moses brought back the words of the people to the Lord.” (Exodus 19:8)
Dear Prayer Partners,
Besides now moving into June, we also recently entered Sivan, the third month of the Hebrew calendar. This is when God descended upon Mt. Sinai in fire, when the whole mountain shook, and when He established an important covenant with Israel. Everything that happened in the months before was preparation for this moment. The Lord had led His people through the Red Sea, cleansed the bitter waters of Mara, provided for them at Elim, and brought water from the rock. He was not simply sustaining them. He was courting them, drawing them to Himself, preparing their hearts for an encounter that would change everything.
At Mt. Sinai, the Lord spoke to Moses in the language of covenant and marriage: “You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” (Exodus 19:4-6)
The people responded with one voice: “All that the Lord has spoken we will do.” (Exodus 19:8) God then gave Moses the Ten Commandments. Later, Moses, Aaron, and the seventy elders of Israel ascended the mountain and “saw the God of Israel”, and also ate and drank in His presence (Exodus 24:9-11). It was a covenant meal, a foreshadow of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb described in Revelation 19.
The number seventy is not incidental. In Genesis 10, the Table of Nations lists the seventy descendants of Noah, from whom all the nations on earth have come. When God sealed His covenant on the mountain with seventy elders present, it was as though every nation on earth had a representative standing at that wedding table. Israel is there as the covenant people, but the nations were already in God’s view. This echoes the promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:3: “in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” From the very beginning, God’s covenant with Israel was never exclusive, but a channel for blessing all nations.
Sivan is also the month of Shavuot, the Feast of Weeks. On this very feast day some 2000 years after Sinai, the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles and followers of Jesus gathered in Jerusalem. What God began on Sinai with fire and covenant, He continued in the Upper Room with fire and a new covenant written on hearts. Both moments carry the same heartbeat: God pursuing a people, filling them with His Spirit, and calling them to be a kingdom of priests.
A priest stands between God and man, bringing God to the people and bringing the people before God. This is the calling of Sivan for us. The Lord is inviting each of us to come up to the mountain to seek His face, reaffirm our covenant with Him, and stand in the gap for Israel, our nations, and our generation.
As we hear the Lord calling us this month, let us respond: “All that the Lord has spoken, I will do.” The Bridegroom is coming for a Bride who has made herself ready.

PRAYER FOR THE ICEJ
1. Pray for the ICEJ and our leaders in Jerusalem as we encounter spiritual battles over our ministry. We also have received reports of unusual challenges affecting many of our leaders and intercessors worldwide as well. Let us arise in prayer, lift the shield of faith, and ask the Lord for strength and help in time of need. “But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.” (Psalm 3:3)
2. Pray for the upcoming Jerusalem Summit from June 9 to 11. Ask the Lord to release a clear prophetic message that will challenge and inspire churches and leaders worldwide to stand firm with Israel. “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)
3. Pray that the Lord will lead the ICEJ in acquiring a permanent building for our ministry in Israel. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33) 4. Over recent months, new opportunities have opened for the ICEJ to support rebuilding efforts along the Gaza border region. Pray for funds to enable us to complete these projects quickly. “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL AND THE NATIONS
5. Pray for fresh momentum for the Abraham Accords, that Arab and Muslim nations in the region like Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Qatar and others would join and establish normal, peaceful relations with Israel.
“It is honourable for a man to stop striving, since any fool can start a quarrel.” (Proverbs 20:3) 6. Let us pray over the borders of Israel, especially the northern border, that the Lord would be a hedge of protection around the land and people. “Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” (Mark 4:39)
7. Pray for wisdom and discernment for the leaders of Israel and the United States as they navigate this critical stage of the conflict with Iran. Ask that God would direct their decisions and strategies, grant clarity under pressure, and guide them in the current negotiations with Iran. “Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.” (1 Timothy 2:1-3)
8. Pray for the downfall of the radical Islamic regime in Iran, and that the Lord would establish new leadership that would be favourable to Christians in Iran and respect democratic and religious rights. “Thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the foremost of their might. I will set My throne in Elam, and will destroy from there the king and the princes,’ says the Lord… ‘But it shall come to pass in the latter days: I will bring back the captives
of Elam,’ says the Lord.” (Jeremiah 49:35, 38-39)
9. Pray for more Christians and others to oppose the wave of antisemitism and Israel-hatred now spreading worldwide. Pray for more people trapped in antisemitic beliefs to be free from their hostility and obsession against Jews and Israel, and to openly repent of this baseless hatred. “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3)
10. Pray for the Church in Israel as the LGBTQ group prepares a pride event in the Dead Sea region. Pray that the Body of Christ would rise in wisdom, holiness, and spiritual authority, standing firmly in truth while responding with the love of the Gospel. Pray that every work of darkness seeking to revive the rebellion of Sodom would be broken off the land. Pray also that many within the LGBTQ community in Israel would encounter Jesus the Messiah, experiencing salvation, healing, and transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21).
